Brigitte Nielsen hits back at critics who say she’s ‘too old’ to be a mum to her daughter

Brigitte Nielsen is conscious of commentary surrounding her determination to have a toddler at 55.

And to these feedback, she has a lot to say.

”There is no such factor as ‘too previous,'” the Danish actress, mannequin and singer, who at 60 is a mom to five-year-old Frida, tells Individuals.

“We do not say that to males who’ve youngsters of their 60s, 70s, even 80s!”

Nielsen, who performed Ludmilla Vobet Drago in Rocky IV (1985) and spinoff Creed II (2018), then highlighted how Robert De Niro, 80, is a father to a seven-month-old baby.

After 13 years of IVF, Nielsen fell pregnant aged 54 together with her now-five-year-old daughter, Frida, who she shares together with her 45-year-old husband Mattia Dessi.

The couple, who married in 2006, reside with Frida in Marbella, Spain.

Nielsen truly argues her age has made her a fair higher mother or father.

“You know the way children say grandmothers are the perfect? I really feel like I’ve that mindset and emotion. I’ve the endurance and that additional bit of affection to offer now, and I feel it is as a result of I am a grandmother’s age.”

She famous how when she was a “youthful mum”, she was juggling her profession commitments and being single, however with Frida and the stage of life Nielsen is at now, her daughter “comes first”.

Nielsen can also be a mom to 4 sons – 39-year-old Julian Winding, whom she shares with Kasper Winding, 33-year-old Killian Marcus Nielsen, whom she shares with Mark Gastineau, plus 30-year-old Aaron Nielsen and 28-year-old Raoul Ayrton Meyer Jr., each of whom she shares with Raoul Meyer.
