Jussie Smollett‘s siblings gave their ideas after his sentencing.
Exterior the Chicago courthouse on March 10, Jussie’s siblings spoke with reporters, saying that he’s harmless and that he didn’t deserve the sentencing. The Empire star was discovered responsible of 5 of six fees for submitting a false police report in 2019. His report of an alleged hate crime led decide James Linn to condemn him to 150 days in a county jail beginning Thursday and 30 months of felony probation.
“[The judge] shamed my brother, he spoke about his conceitedness,” his brother Jojo Smollett, 44, stated. “He would not know the struggles my brother is encountering. He would not know something that he is coping with.”
Jojo went on to say, “In 2022, we do not disgrace folks like this. Alright? He mainly referred to as him a psychological case.”
Jussie’s older sister Jazz Smollett, 41, began off by saying that she believes her brother is harmless.
“This shouldn’t be a controversial assertion as a result of it’s the absolute fact,” she stated. “What needs to be controversial is your complete miscarriage of justice his complete ordeal has been.”
