Shamir has launched his new album Heterosexuality by way of AntiFragile Music. Hole Comet produced the album.
Heterosexuality permits Shamir to discover his queerness explicitly. The album paintings options the artist as an androgynous Baphomet, wearing horns and hooves.

Shamir defined his reasoning behind the look in an interview with Various Press.
“One facet is the inherent androgyny of the Baphomet. Due to my androgyny and since I look very queer, I usually really feel subhuman in the way in which that folks strategy me. So it’s a play on that. I used to be truly doing a photoshoot round a park, and I seen that after I was dressed up like that, a number of the stares and the seems [were] not dissimilar to how individuals stare at me after I’m [dressed] regular. That was very eye-opening.”
