Blue Moon (Crai Nou) by Romanian director Alina Grigore gained the Golden Shell on the 69th San Sebastian Movie Competition whose high awards have been swept by feminine filmmakers and actors.
For the primary time, the movie pageant a gender impartial appearing award. The Finest Main Efficiency prize was shared. Jessica Chastain was honored for her portrayal of televangelist Tammy Faye Messner in The Eyes of Tammy Faye. The opposite winner was 16 -year-old Flora Ofelia Hofmann Lindahl, star of the Danish movie As in Heaven (Du som er i himlen). The movie’s Tea Lindeburg was named Finest Director.
Different main feminine winners included Tatiana Huezo, whose Prayers for the Stolen (Noche de fuego) took the prize for Finest Latin American movie, Claire Mathon, Finest Cinematography winner for Undercover (Enquête sur un scandale d’état) and Lucile Hadzihalilovic whose movie Earwig was acknowledged with the pageant’s particular prize.
The only male winner in the primary classes was British director Terence Davies, acknowledged for the screenplay for his Siegfried Sassoon biopic Benediction.
