A former Disney star was among the many people who gathered on Thursday, Aug. 12 to criticize the masks mandate at a faculty district in Franklin, Tenn.
Leigh-Allyn Baker, who starred as Amy Duncan on the Disney Channel’s Good Luck Charlie, addressed the Williamson County Board of Schooling assembly in an effort to thwart the masks protocol. The mandate ended up passing anyway, which led to heckling from protesters, in response to NBC Information.
“My identify is Leigh-Allyn Baker, and I am a California refugee,” the 49-year-old star shared in footage that went viral. “I gave up every part there: a very profitable Hollywood profession, tv exhibits. I gave all of it up for freedom and to return to this pleasant place in Tennessee and be greeted with open arms, and I like it right here.”
She continued, “I needed to inform you that I’ve two vax-injured kids, they usually have medical exemptions after the seizures and the hospitalizations in spite of everything of their immunizations. I used to be granted, clearly, a medical exemption.”
