FINNEAS is following the footsteps of his little sister, pop celebrity Billie Eilish, by saying his debut solo album.
The 13-track set, known as Optimist, is out through Interscope on Oct. 15. The 24-year-old musician wrote and produced all the songs, together with the primary single, a dynamic energy ballad known as “A Live performance Six Months From Now.”
The one is a bruising meditation on the place we at the moment are — a 12 months and a half after the COVID-19 lockdowns started. The video, directed by Sam Bennett, options FINNEAS performing onstage on the Hollywood Bowl (which he namechecks within the tune). The sound of clapping and shouting bursts and fades as FINNEAS sees there’s not a soul within the viewers.
